Ethos and Experience

I have a wide range of skills encompassing property management and development, web, internet and computer systems and other communications technology development and project management.

I believe that that projects must be designed and implemented to suit the needs of the client and users through discussion and collaboration. I have a clearheaded approach to this work and a philosophy that technology should not rule but aid projects. The most elogant high-tech approach is not necessarily the most appropriate one but with the right foundation and design, projects can be developed organically from simple beginnings as appropriate.

I pride myself on planning and completing realistic projects with realistic costing and realistic time scales. I believe in an honest approach to project management and not just saying what the client or end user wants to hear. I have experience of working with many other professions and I am always happy to draw in skills and resources where I do not have access to these directly or where the timescale of the project demands it.

I take a hands on approach to projects, especially technology projects, I am happy to commission work from developers but will often take a pro-active approach to bringing systems on line - I feel it is important to understand the systems that are being developed and that often means understanding how the code works.
